I often wonder, about some of the things I find wrong in homes.
Is it really only home inspectors that would ever notice these things?
I wish that I could take a poll of everyone that sees this post to find out how many of my readers recognize the problem before I “enlighten” them.
So—be honest—-what is the defect?
It is almost beyond my comprehension as to how anyone could look under this sink and not see something wrong. Did the installer seriously think nobody would notice? Did they seriously think this would get by the home inspector? Did the jurisdictional inspector miss it? (We all know the answer to this last question is that they don’t look under sinks.)
The fact that the drain has no trap—you know that thing that gets in the way of the garbage can—seems pretty obviously missing—and this is brand new construction!
While this defect would be great for the jumbo trash can, it might not be what anyone would consider a very desirable “air freshener.”
